Supply Chain Financial Analyst

Main Objectives:
Accountable for maintaining a strong control environment, delivering operational excellence and contributing to process improvement in the Supply Chain area through analytics and operational dashboards
Responsible to understand all cost drivers, develop standard costs and provide analytical insights into inventory, costing and supply chain activities
Compare inventory on hand against monthly forecast reports to assist in understanding current inventory levels and to assist in future ordering requirements
Provide financial analysis to ensure optimal inventory levels are maintained in all core skus i.e. no out of stocks against monthly forecasts
Conduct and lead an annual inventory rationalization process
Identify and investigate monthly costs variances and inventory levels against plan
Develop, track and report on actual monthly performance against plan and KPIs. Analyze month end data to identify problematic areas and suggest improvements through financial analysis and insight
Develop supply chain processes, requirements and standards (e.g. inventory planning, warehouse management) in addition to inventory procedures including inventory counts
Plan and implement supply chain optimization projects

Responsibilities
Work collaboratively with Finance, Sales and external business partners to understand drivers of costs to deliver value maximization. Identify potential opportunities, risks and solutions to the Leadership Team.
Participate in month end reporting on expenses to drive clarity around supply chain performance against plan and to provide recommendation to the forecast
Perform various analysis for logistics OPEX
Actively participate in the annual business planning and monthly financial forecasting processes.
Assist Finance in the month end closing process. Accountable for ensuring accurate and on time delivery of forecast/month end supply chain information
Evaluate and minimize costs for new or potential products/services

Requirements
Post secondary degree in Logistics, Business Analytics or related experience
2 – 5 years supply chain experience with costing and accounting knowledge

Ability to make financial information “user friendly” to non-financial end users
Advanced Microsoft Excel abilities
Strong analytical & problem solving skills, forecasting and budgeting experience
Intellectual curiosity with a proven ability to search out facts with limited process/guidance
High level of demonstrable cross-functional cooperation experience
Ability to manage within deadlines in a dynamic and changing environment

Contract length: 6 months

Part-time hours: 20-37.5 per week
